Small size, 2.0-4.0 mm; first flagellomere shorter or nearly equal to length of second; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; frons excavated; vertex sloping from ocelli to occipital carina; mesoscutum declivous, at right angle to pronotum; fore tibia with row of 5-8 stout spines along anterior edge; hind coxa with distinct basal tooth; fore wing vein r-m present, first subdiscal cell open at apex, vein 1cu-a postfurcal, vin M+CU nearly straight; hind wing vein M+CU less than 0.33 length of vein 1M; basal sternal plate of first metasomal segment 0.25 length of tergum, dorsope present but small and indistinct; second metasomal tergum with lateral diverging grooves and median pentagonal area at base [1].

The sculpture of the second metasomal segment is characteristic (lateral diverging groove and pentagonal area) as well as the first flagellomere shorter (or rarely as long as ) the second [1].
