Slender species.
Head. Head of simple form with no trace of flattening. Scape of antenna simple, not elongate ; segment 1 of the flagellum not modified beyond being markedly bent. Ocelli in a triangle with base considerably longer than sides.
Mesosoma. Thorax long, narrow, not flattened dorso-ventrally. Pronotum lying far below the level of the mesonotum; middle lobe of the mesonotum prominent and bulging in front, falling more or less perpendicularly to the pronotum; pubescence of mesonotum sparse and quite inconspicuous. Propodeum without aeras and without longitudinal carinae, irregularly reticulate; no separation between metapleura and propodeum. Mesopleural furrow narrow, straight, smooth, running the whole length of the mesopleura.
Legs. Hind coxa with a strong projection beneath at base; hairs of the legs long and sparse ; outer apical rim of the hind tibia without spines; hind tarsus 1 slightly more than twice 2 ; 3 longer than 5 ; front tibia with a row of 7-9 stout spines along outer edge.
Wings. Nervus parallelus not interstitial; mediella of the hind wing thickened towards apex to form a false stigma.
Metasoma. Abdomen long, narrow; tergites 2-6 with a completely differentiated sharp, lateral margin ; tergite 1 much longer than wide; suture between the fused 1st and 2nd tergite sharply denned. Wings very narrow [1].

This genus is similar to Eucorystes (sensu Nixon, 1943) by the narrow body, the venation and the form and sculpture of abdomen. It is distinguished by the anterior shape of mesoscutum and the shape of hind coxa (modified from [1]).
