Moderate size, 5.5-6.5 mm; oral cavity small, circular; clypeus longer (taller) than oral cavity and with small pimple at top; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; mesoscutum not declivous anteriorly, on the same line as pronotum; pronotal collar with a deep incision behind head; hind coxa without basal tooth or tubercle; fore wing vein r-m present, first subdiscal cell open at apex, vein m-cu slightly distad vein 2RS; hind wing M+CU about 0.33 length of vein 1M; first metasomal tergum longer than wide, basal sternal plate 0.25 length of tergum [1].

It is close to Janzenia by the fore wing vein m-cu meeting vein 2M beyond vein 2RS. But it is distinguished by the unusual deep incision on the pronotal collar behind head and the absence of the transverse groove on the third metasomal tergum (present in Janzenia) [1].
