Head subcubical; ocelli completely absent; frons almost flat without median keel; eyes glabrous, without emargination opposite antennal sockets; occipital carina only evelopped laterally, widely interrupted dorsally, absent ventrally; hypostomal carina wide; postgenal bridge very narrow; palpi formula 6-4; scape short and not flattened laterally, without apical lobe and basal constriction; first flagellar segment straight and not shorter than second segment; mesosoma slightly reduced; neck of promesosoma long, entirely covered by very coarse transverse regular striation; pronotal keel indistinct; anterior mesonotum gently curving posteriorly and slightly raised above pronotum; notauli absent; metanotum without median tooth; sternaulus absent or very shallow; prepectal carina distinct, wide, developed very high on mesopleuron; propodeum without marginate areas, with 4 closely situated lateral tubercles submedially (2 anterior tubercles with stigma, 2 posterior with long seta), sometimes anterior tubercle weakly developed; propodeal bridge absent; fore tibia with several very small spines arranged almost in single row; hind coxa with distinct basoventral corner and without tooth; all femora without anterodorsal protuberances; hind basitarsus 0.45-0.50 x as long as segments 2-5 combined; wings absent; first metasomal tergite not petiolate, short and wide, with very small dorsope, without basolateral processes, with deep basal cavity, bordered posteriorly by high curved carina; acrosternite short 0.2 x as long as first tergite; second suture absent; second and third tergites without furrows and defined areas; ovipositor distinctly shorter than metasoma, apex of dorsal valve with 2 small and widely separated nodes and apex of ventral valve serrate [1].

This genus differs from all other genera containing brachypterous or apterous species in that it possesses a wide, almost transverse, coarsely crenulate groove on the mesoscutum, the pronotum and propodeum have dense regular sub-transverse striations, and the metasoma behind the first tergite is entirely glabrous [1].
