Body length 2.0-3.0 mm; oral opening moderate, diameter about equal to length of malar space; malar space 1/3 eye height, temple 1/2 eye width; 20-25 antennomeres; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; mesonotum sharply declivous anteriorly; notauli weak or accasionally absent posteriorly; sternaulus short, deep, scrobiculate or smooth; propodeum with distinct median and lateral carinae and wide areola; hind coxa with basal tooth; fore wing with vein r-m present, vein 1m-cu meeting 2-M beyond 2-RS; cell 2CU open at apex, vein 2cu-a absent; hind wing with vein M+CU 1/2-1/3 length of 1-M, vein RS absent; metasoma somewhat club-shaped; first metasomal segment longer its apical width; ovipositor varying from as long as metasoma to as long as body [1].

It is similar to Semirhytus but differs by the vein 1m-cu of the fore wing meeting 2-M beyond 2-RS; by the small circular rather wide than oval oral opening [1].
