Medium to large size, 7-12.0 mm; mesosoma somewhat flattened dorso-ventrally, metasoma long and slender, occipital carina not meeting hypostomal carina; first flagellomere shorter than second; oral cavity small and circular; pronotum lengthened behind head, length of pronotal collar about as long as first flagellomere, with transverse depression and anterior edge curved upward behind head; mesoscutum not declivous anteriorly, on the same line as pronotum; propodeum horizontal, not declivous posteriorly; first metasomal tergum petiolate, length more than 4 times apical width, basal sternal plate 0.33 length of tergum, dorsope absent; second metasomal tergum with triangular area at base; ovipositor about as long as body; fore tibia with row of 4-5 stout spines along anterior edge and 5-6 stout spine at apex; hind coxa long and slender, with distinct truncate tubercle at base; fore wing vein r-m present, first subdiscal cell open at apex; hind wing vein M+CU 0.33 length of vein 1M, vein r-m very short and obscure, vein R long; hind wing of male without stigma [1].

It is similar to Curtisella but is distinguished by the acrosternum (= basal sternal plate) of the first metasomal segment being 0.33 length of tergum (0.25 in Curtisella), by the first flagellomere being shorter than the second (longer in Curtisella), by the long and slender hind coxa (short and broad in Curtisella) and by the absence of a stigma in the hind wing of the male (present in Curtisella).
It is also superficially similar to Sharkeyella but is distinguished by the tubercle on the hind coxa (absent in Sharkeyella).
Neotropical. Marsh [1] have seen specimens from Mexico, Honduras, Panama belonging to other species.
