Harpoheterospilus
A subgenus of the genus Heterospilus with two species known [1].

Hosts of Scolytidae.
Vertex entirely sculptured. Prescutellar depression with 5-5 carinae, finely rugulose. Mesoscutum entirely distinctly and densely granulate, entirely setose. Second radial abscissa almost as long as first abscissa. Second abscissa of costal vein of hind wing absent. Hind coxa without basoventral tooth. Hind coxa and femur sculptures at least dorsally. Second metasomal tergite without basal semicircular area, with short basolateral depressions only; without delineated apical area. Second suture indistinct. Only second and third tergites with separated laterotergites. ovipositor long, ovipositor sheath 1.35-1.4 times as long as mesosoma, 0.7-0.75 times as long as fore wing [1].

It is distinguished to the subgenus N. (Neoheterospilus) by the absence of the delineated apical area of second tergite, the second suture of metasoma indistinct, the vertex finely coriaceous-rugulose, the mesoscutum densely granulate and fully setose [1].
