Small size, 3.0-4.0 mm; eyes very large, malar space extremely short or absent; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; mesoscutum declivous anteriorly; first metasomal segment petiolate, length of tergum 2-4 times apical width, basal sternal plate nearly as long as tergum; fore tibia with single row of stout spines along anterior edge; hind coxa angled at base with indistinct tubercle or tooth; fore wing vein r-m present, vein 2RS absent, vein RS+M strongly arched, first subdiscal cell open at apex; hind wing vein M+CU about equal in length to vein 1M, vein RS absent, vein m-cu curved toward wing apex, stigma present in hind wing of male [1].

It is similar to Heterospathius but could be distinguished by the strongly arched fore wing vein RS+M and the large eyes. It could also be distinguished from Heterospilus by the long and fused acrosternum of first metasomal segment [1].

Neotropical. Marsh [1] have seen specimens of one new species from Panama.
