Allorhogas
A rather large genus, mainly Neotropical with numerous records of phytophagy. More than thirty species are included but several other remain undescribed [1].

Reared from seed pods and leaf and stem galls. Some species are very probably gall-former (see Marsh, 2002).
Small size, 1.5-4.0 mm; head more or less transverse; frons distinctly excavated, usually with well defined lateral edges; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; pronotal collar very short, mesoscutum groove declivous anteriorly, median mesonotal lobe often with median longitudinal groove or line; propodeum usually with distinct triangular shaped basal median areas; first metasomal tergum usually with cross carina separating basal smooth area and apical sculptured area, basal sternal plate of first tergum less than 0.25 length of tergum, dorsope indistinct; metasoma always sculptured on first three terga, ovipositor varying from barely visible to longer than metasoma; hind coxa with small but distinct basal tubercle; fore wing vein r-m present, vein m-cu variable, arising basal to, interstitial with or apical to vein 2RS, first subdiscal cell open at apex; hind wing vein cu-a present, vein M+CU usually equal to vein 1M, rarely slightly longer or slightly shorter, vein m-cu usually curved toward wing apex, often straight to wing margin but never angled toward wing base [1].
