Body length 2.5-4.0 mm; head prognathous, oral opening large, about twice eye height, clypeus broad and protruding, malar space obscured, temple nearly twice eye height; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; ocelli small, ocello-ocular distance nearly 4 times diameter of lateral ocellus; 17-22 antennomeres; notauli scrobiculate, meeting before scutellum in wide costate area; sternaulus absent; propodeum without distinct carinae dorsally; all femora swollen, hind coxa rounded at base; fore wing with vein r-m absent, cell 2CU open at apex, vein 2-1A obliterated at apex, stigma short and broad; hind wing with veins CU and RS absent, male with stigma in hind wing; first metasomal tergum petiolate, apical width nearly 3 times basal width, length about twice apical width; ovipositor about as long as body [1].

Even it would appear not to be a doryctine because of the prognathous head, similar of that of Cosmophorus, it clearly belong in this subfamily because of the oval oral opening, concave labrum, fore tibial spines, propleural flange and bi-nodal dorsal valve of ovipositor [1].
