Small size, 2.0-4.0 mm; head and mesosoma distinctly flattened dorso-ventrally; malar space short, about 0.25 eye height; occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; pronotal cola lengthened, longitudinal length equal to or greater than length of first flagellomere; propodeum without distinct carinae or areola; first metasomal segment petiolate, length greater than apical width, basal sternal plate 0.5 or more length of tergum; fore tibia with single row of stout spines along anterior edge; hind coxa with small basal tubercle; wings banded; fore wing vein 2RS complete tubular vein (occasionally this vein is weak and appears not tubular), first subdiscal cell open at apex, vein 2CU nearly on the same line as vein 1CU; hind wing vein M+CU equal to or longer than vein 1M [1].

Very similar to Callihormius but is distinguished by the flattened body and the longer acrosternum of first metasomal segment [1]. Some other genera have also some species flattened but not like this genus.
