Moderate size, 4.5-6.0 mm;occipital carina meeting hypostomal carina; fore tibia with single row of 5-8 stout spines along anterior edge and 4-6 stout spines at apex; mesoscutum strongly declivous anteriorly, pronotal collar short; mesopleuron strongly longitudinally porcate on upper half; propodeum entirely rugose, without carinae; hind coxa angled at base but without distinct tooth or tubercle; fore wing vein r-m present, first subdiscal cell open at apex, vein 2cu-a absent, hind wing vein M+CU about 0.33 length of vein 1M; first metasomal tergum longer than apical width, basal sternal plate of first metasomal segment 0.25 length of tergum, dorsope small but distinct [1].

This genus is similar to some species of Notiospathius but is distinguished by two important characters of the first metasomal segment: the first tergum is longer than its apical width but not petiolate as in most species of Notiospathius; the basal sternal plate is short, usually 0.25 the length of tergum, whereas it is at least 0.75 the length of tergum in Notiospathius. The strongly porcate mesopleuron dorsally will also separate it from species of Notiospathius [1].
