Small size, 2.0-4.0 mm; body entirely dark brown or black; head somewhat transverse,malar space usually about 0.33 eye height; occipital carina not meeting hypostomal carina; notauli absent except at extreme anterior corners of mesoscutum; propodeum with distinct carinae and areola; fore tibia with single row of stout spines along anterior edge, all femora and tibia shortened and swollen, hind coxa with distinct basal tubercle; fore wing vein r-m present, first subapical cell open at apex, hind wing vein M+CU longer than vein 1M, hind wing of male with stigma near base; first and second metasomal terga fused, groove between them scrobiculate or smooth, basal sternal plate of first segment 0.25 length of tergum [1].

This peculiar genus is distinguished by the fusion of first and second metasomal terga. Two other genera with the same character have been described form the Oriental-Australian Region by Belokobylskij [1].
